Nesta segunda-feira, dia 06 de junho, os servidores públicos municipais de Itapoá entraram em greve por tempo indeterminado.

O Sinsej (Sindicato dos Servidores Públicos Municipais de Joinville e Região) divulgou nota explicando que a categoria pede reposição da inflação nos salários e são contra o corte de 10% em gratificações do funcionalismo. Ainda de acordo com o Sindicato, Itapoá conta com 500 servidores, dos quais até as 14h00min, cerca de 40% (200) haviam aderido à greve.

Em função da greve, os postos de saúde estão fechados e o PA (Pronto Atendimento) 24 Horas atendendo apenas em caso de urgência.

Alguns professores também aderiram à greve, mas de acordo com o publicado pelo site G1, nenhuma escola havia sido fechada até a tarde desta segunda-feira, dia 06.

Poucos dias antes da deflagração da greve, a Prefeitura de Itapoá emitiu o que chamou de “Carta da Prefeitura Municipal de Itapoá aos munícipes Itapoaenses”. Nela, o Poder Executivo Municipal alega que a crise econômica e política vem “corroendo as estruturas públicas, privadas e pessoais do País”, concentrando a receita financeira no Governo Federal. Além disso, atrasando repasses e transferindo obrigações aos Municípios. Explica a Prefeitura, que há uma elevada taxa de inadimplência dos contribuintes em relação aos tributos municipais e um “insuportável crescimento das despesas de custeio da máquina administrativa”. O órgão também cita a queda das transferências de impostos estaduais e nacionais para os municípios. Por esse motivo, alega a nota, várias medidas de economia estão sendo tomadas. Por fim, o Poder Executivo Municipal cita questões jurídicas que considera relevantes para justificar as ações que estão sendo tomadas em relação ao funcionalismo público municipal. Todas essas questões são rebatidas pelo Sinsej, Sindicato que representa a categoria.
