Por meio da FCEE (Fundação Catarinense de Educação Especial) e da SDR (Secretaria de Desenvolvimento Regional) de Joinville, o governo do Estado de Santa Catarina celebrou nessa quarta-feira, dia 02 de setembro, um convênio com as APAEs (Associações de Pais e Amigos dos Excepcionais) e instituições semelhantes. A partir dele, o Estado cederá professores para atuarem nas 249 vagas de 20 horas semanais das instituições de educação especial.

Estão contempladas as APAEs de Araquari, Balneário Barra do Sul, Barra Velha, Garuva, Itapoá, Joinville e São Francisco do Sul, além da Ajudevi (Associação Joinvilense para a Integração do Deficiente Visual), AMA (Associação de Amigos do Autista) e Apiscae (Associação para Integração Social de Crianças e Adolescentes Especiais).
