Apesar da chuva que caiu em Itapoá praticamente durante todo o período do carnaval deste ano de 2015, a Prefeitura de Itapoá divulgou, em seu site institucional, um saldo positivo do evento que realizou em comemoração à data. De acordo com o Poder Executivo Municipal, as atividades realizadas abrangeram a todos os gostos. Sexta-feira (dia 13 de fevereiro) e sábado (dia 14), o grupo Kebradera animou os foliões no palco denominado “Carnareia”, entre as 2ª e 3ª Pedra. Foi lá também que ocorreu a escolha da Rainha e do Rei Momo do carnaval deste ano. Além disso, todos os dias, a Secretaria Municipal de Esporte e Lazer emprestou bolas e redes aos interessados.

Nas noites, a Secretaria de Turismo Meio Ambiente e Cultura montou um palco em frente à pista de skate, local em que o grupo Kebradera e a banda Show Sagittarius se apresentaram. No site da Prefeitura não há referência ao cancelamento da matinê que seria realizada no mesmo palco e estava prevista para o início da noite de terça-feira, dia 17 de fevereiro. O evento foi cancelado devido às chuvas que não cessaram na tarde e noite do evento, para a tristeza das crianças que esperavam ansiosamente pelo mesmo.
