Foi realizada, no início da noite desta quarta-feira, dia 14 de janeiro, a manifestação “Por Uma Itapoá Mais Segura”. Apesar de 550 pessoas terem confirmado presença pela página do evento no Facebook, cerca de 50 pessoas estiveram na concentração realizada no pátio do supermercado Brasão, do balneário Itapema do Norte, contando com autoridades e membros da imprensa. Estavam presentes, equipes de reportagem da RIC TV de Santa Catarina, da RBS TV, do jornal “A Notícia”, do Jornal Em Foco, da Folha de Itapoá, do site Tribuna de Itapoá, Itapoá Por Dentro, Diário de Itapoá, a vereadora Márcia Soares (PSDB) e vereadores Carlito Custódio Jr. (PR) e Ernesto de Aquino (PSC), além de Patrício Junior, presidente do Porto Itapoá, e o comandante da Polícia Militar local, Ademir Schnekemberg.

Alguns manifestantes portavam faixas, mostrando insatisfação com a situação da segurança pública no Município, destaque para as que estavam escritas “Mais Segurança” e “Vamos sair do blá, blá, blá”. Reunidos, todos gritaram por mais segurança.

Se por um lado, a imprensa local e regional compareceu, bem como autoridades municipais, representantes da iniciativa privada e, até mesmo, da segurança pública do Município, a frustração ficou por conta do número de manifestantes, que foi bem abaixo do esperado. Por fim, quem compareceu pode sair satisfeito, pelo menos, com a sensação de ter sido ouvido.

Enquanto isso, a população local segue aguardando iniciativas efetivas por parte daqueles que detém o poder para mudar o atual cenário da segurança pública itapoaense.
