De acordo com o divulgado pela Amunesc (Associação dos Municípios do Nordeste de Santa Catarina), o Mercado Público de Itapoá já ganhou forma e cor. A obra, projetada pela própria Amunesc, está em fase final. 

Na manhã dessa quarta-feira, dia 06 de janeiro, a equipe técnica da Associação visitou o local juntamente com Simone Schramm, secretária Executiva da Amunesc, e o prefeito de Itapoá, Marlon Neuber. 

Para o prefeito, o Mercado Público de Itapoá é um sonho que se torna realidade. “Um projeto importante que irá beneficiar a nossa economia e valorizar a cultura do nosso povo”, considera. Ainda segundo Marlon, o espaço proporcionará visibilidade aos produtores locais. “No Mercado da Maria, nossos artesãos poderão comercializar seus produtos num espaço especial, além de poderem produzir seus artesanatos ali mesmo. Além disso, nossos agricultores e pescadores terão o local que merecem para suas vendas. É um projeto, sobretudo, de valorização da nossa gente”, concluiu. 

O nome escolhido foi Mercado da Maria em referência à ave-símbolo de Itapoá, a Hemitriccus Kaempferi, conhecida pelo seu nome popular de Maria Catarinense. 

A conclusão das obras está prevista para o próximo mês de fevereiro. 

Outro local visitado pela equipe da Amunesc em Itapoá foi a avenida André Rodrigues de Freitas, em Itapema do Norte, para a qual a Associação elaborará um projeto de drenagem e pavimentação da via.
