Na noite desse domingo, dia 13 de maio, por volta das 19h15min, profissionais do Corpo de Bombeiros Militar de Itapoá foram acionadas para atender uma ocorrência de incêndio em uma residência no bairro São José.

Ao chegar no local, foi constatado que o imóvel estava tomado pelas chamas. De acordo com as informações de uma moradora próxima da residência incendiada, o fogo teria começado após uma vela acesa ter sido esquecida na casa. Segundo tenente Alexandre de Mello Rogge, comandante do Corpo de Bombeiros de Itapoá, somente após o resultado da perícia é que poderá ser confirmado se a causa do incêndio foi realmente a vela.

Resgate de automóvel caído em valeta

Uma hora mais tarde, por volta das 20h15min, ainda nesse domingo de Dia das Mães (13/05), os bombeiros foram acionados para resgatar um automóvel que havia caído em uma valeta na Rua 1000 (Rua da Celesc), balneário paese.

No local, os bombeiros avistaram o GM Celta dentro da valeta. De acordo com as informações de populares que viram o acidente, o casal que estava dentro do automóvel, após a queda, fugiu do local.
